About me

I am currently an Early Research Career Fellow at CSIRO and was previously an Associate Lecturer in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Sydney. Read more about my career and education on my about page.

I am interested in anything relating to the intersection of fluid dynamics, numerical methods, high performance computing and machine learning. See my research page for a full list of topics I have worked on, as well as a record of my grants and publications.

What I'm currently working on

I am currently working on applying machine learning methods to the prediction of various modes of climate variability, such as the El NiƱo Southern Oscillation, in order to make forecasts that can be used for causal inference of the socio-economic impacts of climate change. See my research page for more details.

I am also helping to develop a suite of methods for machine learning in the small data regime, where the number of training examples is of similar size to the number of features. See my GitHub profile for details along with other coding projects I have worked on.

Talks

I recently gave a talk at the University of Tasmania as part of the local ANZIAM seminar series. A recording of the talk can be found here.
